Nuance Awarded Bengaluru Concession

Nuance, in partnership with Shoppers Stop Limited, has been awarded a five-year
contract to operate the duty-free concession at Bengaluru International Airport in India.  Nuance India has been operating the current concession since 2008, and the new contract will run from May 2013 to May 2018 with categories including confectionery, perfumes and cosmetics, liquor, tobacco, fashion and electronics.
The new concession will cover 789m² of Duty Free area in departure hall of which 100m² would be dedicated for fashion and accessories, 410m² in the arrival halls and 235m² for the electronics category, split between arrival and departure areas.  The contract will also
cover a 139m² pier shop.
Commenting on this development, Mr René Baumann, Vice President Commercial for the airport’s management company, BIAL, said: “We are delighted to have Nuance together with Shoppers Stop as our partner in bringing alive the Retail & Duty Free concepts here at the Bengaluru International Airport.  This partnership has worked for us in the past
