Abu Dhabi Sees Running Start for 2013

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has released its January traffic report for the Emirate’s international airport, showing a 19.6% increase in passenger traffic year-on-year.

More than 1.3 million travellers passed through the airport last month.  Aircraft movements grew 12.6% to 11,119 and cargo volume rose by 25% to 48,875 tonnes.

Eng Ahmad Al Haddabi, Chief Operating Officer of ADAC, commented:  “Abu Dhabi International Airport has welcomed the new year with a positive start.”

The top five routes during January were Bangkok, London, Doha, Manila and Bahrain.
