LJLA Welcomes Google Indoor Maps

The UK’s Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has introduced a new service to help passengers navigate their way through the terminal, taking advantage of the improved on-site facilities.
It is the latest UK airport to feature Google Indoor Maps, an Android application which allows passengers to zoom in on their location to reveal an internal terminal building floor plan.  By enabling the ‘My Location’ feature on Google Maps, travellers can also identify where they on the floor plan.
All three levels of the terminal building have been mapped alongside practical information, such as the nearest toilets, cash machines and information desk.  The app can also provide directions.
Danny Pritchard from LJLA commented:  “Even though surveys show 97% passenger satisfaction levels, we are always looking at ways to enhance the passenger experience here at JLA.  This Google Indoor Map application will help to make it even easier for our passengers to locate a particular bar, retailer, restaurant, coffee shop or perhaps the premium lounge.”
