Riyad (2)

TAV Construction has been selected by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA) to undertake the design and construction of Terminal 5 at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh.  The company says the terminal will be completed within 18 months.
The US$400 million project comprises a 1,076,391sq ft (100,000m2) terminal, a 968,752sq ft (90,000m2) multi-storey car park with capacity for 3,000 vehicles, fire brigade building, operation centre, power station, apron, airside infrastructure, and elevated roads and facilities that will connect Terminal 5 to the existing terminals.
Having added the Abu Dhabi Airport Midfield Terminal Complex, Medinah Airport and Jeddah Aircraft Maintenance Hangars to its portfolio in 2012, and now winning the Riyadh project, TAV Construction claims it has signed more than $16 billion in contracts in the Middle East and North Africa.
