easyJet Expands Tel Aviv Routes

EZY A320UK-based low-cost carrier easyJet has announced a new bi-weekly route from Rome Fiumicino to Tel Aviv.  The addition means easyJet is now the second largest non-Israeli carrier to Tel Aviv.
The new flights launch on 24 September 2013 and are already on sale.   Rome will become the fifth city to be linked with Tel Aviv alongside London, Manchester, Geneva and Basel.
easyJet was the first low fare airline to enter the Israeli market in November 2009 and from winter 2013 it will operate 23 services per week to Tel Aviv, offering over 400,000 seats annually.
Flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the airline says it expects around 30,000 passengers to travel on the route during its first year.
