The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is working with travel retail partner Nuance to bring well-known luxury brands to passengers at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The companies say the expanded duty-free programme will offer more space for luxury and fashion brands, such as Burberry, Coach, Michael Kors, Omega, Gucci, Mont Blanc and Ferragamo.
Pamela Griffith-Jones, Vice President of Guest and Terminal Services for GTAA, commented: “We know our guests will be excited by the high-end offerings and that a new store concept will give them the airport shopping experience they are looking for. This is another example of how Toronto Pearson is delivering on our brand promise to provide our guests with more branded shopping options.”
As part of its five-year contract extension, Nuance will develop more than 20,451sq ft (1,900m2) in Terminal 1, including 3,983sq ft (370m2) of new space. It will be the first deployment of the group’s new global branding and duty free store concept in North America. The store is specially designed for Toronto Pearson and will incorporate practices to optimise navigation, product visibility and in-store communications.
