SSP Opens New Café at Zurich Airport

Food travel expert SSP has teamed up with Switzerland’s biggest-selling newspaper NZZ (New Zurich Times) to open a new outlet at Zurich Airport called NZZ Café.
Located airside, it will allow customers to catch up with the latest news before their flight.  Current headline stories will be displayed on LCD screens, while iPads will allow customers to access news content from NZZ.  In addition, every customer will be offered instant access to a download of the day’s edition of NZZ, and a free four-week subscription to the publication.
Designed in sleek, light and contemporary style, the café will serve a range of premium snacks and sandwiches inspired by local ingredients.
Cornelius Everke, CEO of SSP Germany, Austria & Switzerland, commented:  “Offering access to news via digital media is a key priority for news organisations.  It is also important for F&B providers to communicate with consumers via media that is part of their everyday lives.  This new partnership offers both NZZ and SSP a creative way to become more connected, and open genuine dialogue with today’s consumer.”
