Bahrain Signs Boarding Bridge Deal

The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has signed an agreement with Shenzhen CIMC TIANDA Airport Support Ltd to replace the existing passenger bridges at Bahrain International Airport with new passenger boarding bridges. 

The signing ceremony, held during the Bahrain International Airshow was, attended by Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company Mr Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, and Senior Area Manager for MENA and Turkey at Shenzhen CIMC TIANDA Airport Support LTD Mr Wei Long.   

As per the BD1.2 million (US$3.2 million) agreement, seven CIMC TIANDA Passenger Boarding Bridges will be installed to replace Bahrain’s existing equipment.  BAC says the new bridges will not only provide weather protection, comfort, and a safe walkway between terminal and aircraft; but they will also be designed to: “create a welcoming ambience for passengers.”  

Chief Executive Officer of BAC Mr Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah confirmed in his remark that this agreement is part of BAC’s immediate enhancement work at the airport, aiming to elevate the airport’s capabilities in keeping pace with the aviation growth.
