A suicide bomber is reported to have killed four people, including at least three foreign security guards, during an attack adjacent to Kabul airport. Government officials say four insurgents also died and six guards were injured.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, which hit a counter-narcotics facility with grenades and machine gun fire.
This latest attack comes just days after Afghan security forces repelled another Taliban attack on Kabul Airport when a roadside bomb injured a civilian close to the civilian entrance to the airport. Police reports say the bomber arrived on a motorcycle and detonated his bomb outside the main entrance, close to the airport. The attacks took place during the run-up to a controversial election.
