Ground handling provider Baltic Ground Services has become a member of IATA’s Ground Handling Council (IGHC).
Its new status gives Baltic Ground Services the opportunity to actively discuss and participate in the decision making process under the following IGHC’s specialised Task Forces: Aviation Ground Service Agreement (AGSA); Load Control and Aircraft Messaging (LCAM); Ground Support Equipment and Environmental Management (GSEE); IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM); Airside Safety Group (ASG).
Darius Aleknavicius, CEO of Baltic Ground Services commented: “Being Europe’s first ground handler certified as an ISAGO organization, we aim at promoting the highest safety standards and the best GH practices across the region. I believe that the experience that we have gathered whilst working with clients from both the developed and the emerging markets over the years will be of great benefit in the process of developing new standards and solutions to the industry’s most pressing issues. After all, aviation is all about joining efforts in achieving common goals.”
