THE FIRST shared-use facility at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 is set to open this summer. Aspire, the Lounge and Spa at LHR T5 will be operated as a joint venture between the Collinson Group, owners of Priority Pass, and Swissport. The new facility will be located close to Gate 18.

“Since launching in 2012, the Aspire brand of airport lounges has grown in popularity and now covers many global destinations,” said Shaun Weston, Swissport’s Travel Services Director. “The opening of this new facility is a significant step for us and our brand of lounges, giving us a presence in one of the world’s leading airport terminals.”

Elsewhere, following its move to Terminal 2, Singapore Airlines has unveiled its brand new SilverKris Lounge for First- and Business-Class passengers. It follows the carrier’s worldwide ‘home away from home’ concept, which is designed to provide a sense of ‘being at home’ and will make London the airline’s third city to feature these designs.
