The American Airlines Group (AAG) will stop using the US Airways brand on October 17, as its flight reservations system is transferred to American Airlines. The move is the latest step in the 2013 merger which brought the airlines together.
From Saturday October 17 the AAG will have a single website, reservations system and brand and former US Airways services will have only American Airlines flight codes from July 18. The carrier says passengers already booked on a US Air service will have their new reservation information e-mailed to them in the weeks ahead.
