Berlin-based airline Germania will mark 30 years of operations under its current identity on June 1. To mark this special occasion, Germania has introduced an aircraft with a special livery. Its “Jubilee” Boeing 737 was repainted at East Midlands Airport in the UK at the beginning of February and made in public debut at Bremen Airport on February 16. Germania has a longstanding relationship with Bremen as the airline’s founder, Hinrich Bischoff, chose to live there.
Over the next few weeks the aircraft is expected to visit Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Münster/Osnabrück and Rostock, enabling passengers at many of Germania’s departure points the opportunity to see and photograph the unique aircraft.
As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, Germania will also be promoting the hashtag #flyGermania, to attract the best photographs on Facebook and Instagram, and to showcase competitions and promotions.
Germania says on the 30th day of the month one lucky passenger will be chosen at random to receive a surprise gift.
