Both ‘Black Box’ data recorders have been recovered from the wreckage of EgyptAir flight MS804 that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea last month.
Although the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) was reported to be significantly damaged, the Egyptian authorities have stated that its memory unit is intact. A representative from France’s civil aviation investigation organisation, the BEA, is travelling to Egypt to add BEA’s expertise in reading the recorders’ information.
Flight MS804 disappeared in the early hours of May 19 while en-route from Paris to Cairo with 66 people on board.
