Sir Richard Branson touches down at Seattle Tacoma International Airport to celebrate Virgin Atlantic’s new route between London Heathrow and Seattle.

Virgin Atlantic is flying a new daily service between London Heathrow and Seattle replacing the flight currently operated by joint venture partner Delta Air Lines. The new service, launched on March 26, is operated by the airline’s newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-9, and will add more than 40,000 extra seats each year between the two cities. The aircraft are configured with 264 seats which consist of 31 Upper Class seats, 35 Premium Economy seats and 198 Economy seats.
Virgin says it expects to fly around 150,000 customers annually between London Heathrow and Seattle-Tacoma Airport with Delta providing options to connect onto destinations such as Canada and Hawaii.
Passengers will have the opportunity to experience Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy product featuring a new Wander Wall for snacks and socializing as well as the aircraft’s bar and fully flat-bed seats for Upper Class customers. Upon landing into London-Heathrow T3, Upper Class customers can refresh and refuel in Virgin Atlantic’s Revivals Lounge before heading to London. Prior to departure, Upper Class customers can enjoy the airline’s private security channel and Upper Class Wing before working, relaxing, and dining in Virgin Atlantic’s award-winning Clubhouse.
