Fraport Announces Operational Readiness Project for Bahrain Airport

Bahrain future terminal project
Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide has announced a multi-year project to provide Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) consulting services for the new passenger terminal at Bahrain International Airport. Its work will also involve preparations for Bahrain’s new apron area, fire station, fuel farm and aircraft maintenance facilities. Fraport said it will provide its full range of ORAT services bundled in three consulting phases, running over 32 months and requiring a total of 4,700 project man-days. Scheduled to be inaugurated in 2019, Bahrain International Airport’s new passenger terminal will have capacity for serving 14 million passengers per year and is a key infrastructure element in BAC’s Airport Modernization Programme (AMP).
