Embraer and American Airlines have signed a firm order for 15 E175 jets configured with 76 seats. The contract value is US$705 million, based on current list prices, and will be included in the backlog of the fourth quarter of 2018. Deliveries will begin in 2020.
When added to the previous E175 orders made by the carrier, this new contract means American has now ordered 104 of the type since 2013.
American Airlines has selected Envoy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Airlines Group, to operate the 15 aircraft, which will be configured with 12 First Class and 64 Economy Class seats, including Economy Class Extra.
