Miami Executive Airport (IATA: TMB) has extended its opening hours for international arrivals until midnight on the peak days of Thursday through to Monday, thanks to a new agreement between the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The pilot programme, which began on June 6, allows MDAD to reimburse CBP for extended passport screening hours to process international private jet or charter flight passengers entering the US at TMB. The new hours of operation for passport screening at TMB are 11am to midnight Thursday through to Monday, and 11am to 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Previously, the hours of operation were 11am to 7pm every day.
Lester Sola, Miami International Airport Director and CEO commented: “As one of the busiest GA airports in the country and as a reliever airport for Miami International Airport, Miami Executive Airport will now be able to serve its international passengers with greater convenience. We are proud to partner with CBP on this pilot programme, which improves Miami-Dade County’s ability to serve as the gateway of the Americas.”
