A new lounge for unaccompanied minors has opened in Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Operated by dnata, the lounge is decorated in vibrant colours and equipped with games and entertainment screens to keep the young guests occupied throughout the day. The lounge is open 24/7 and manned by a team of more than 70 experienced, multilingual staff who work closely with airline representatives to ensure unaccompanied minors reach departure gates on time and receive priority boarding. The company said these services have become increasingly popular in the UAE in recent years with dnata team having assisted 8,000 unaccompanied minors at Dubai International in 2018, 27% more, than five years ago.
