US low-cost carrier, JetBlue, performed its first commercial service with the Airbus A321neo on September 24.

Using flight number 1, it flew from New York’s John F Kennedy Airport (JFK) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) which replicated the airline’s first revenue flight in February 2000. The new Airbus is named in honour of the airline’s founder, David Neeleman.

JetBlue has ordered a total of 59 Airbus A321neos.
