The airline says the site is the ideal location to continue growing its business
The specialist charter and cargo carrier, Jota Aviation is set to open a new base at London Biggin Hill Airport.
The operator, which is currently based at London Southend Airport, specialises in charter flights for sports, corporate events, and media industries, as well as passenger and cargo services.
With the site situated only 12 miles outside of central London, Andy Green, the CEO of Jota, believes the new base will benefit the expansion of the company: “With its proximity to the capital, Biggin Hill is the ideal location from which to continue the growth in our operation. This is a very positive move for us, and we look forward to offering all our customers the quick reaction dispatches we are known for.”
The aviation firm has over ten years’ experience within the industry and describes itself as being the ‘go-to’ company for transporting passengers and cargo.
Robert Walters, the commercial director of London Biggin Hill Airport added: “[We] have been able to provide a secure commercial and operating environment for the Jota Aviation team, and we look forward to witnessing the company’s continued success.”
Currently, the airfield is home to more than 70 aviation businesses and is a designated UK port of entry.
