Twenty-five locations have been added for Thanksgiving including Caribbean destinations
JetBlue has announced that more services from New York City will be introduced for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Tampa are among the new destinations. Popular locations for visiting friends and family (VFR) has also been added, including Port-au-Prince, San Juan and Santiago.
High-demand transcontinental routes to Los Angeles and San Francisco are amid the others to have been announced, as well as non-stop flights from New York, Newark and Westchester county airports.
The 25 additional flights will operate between November 20 and November 30, and it is the airline’s hope that the new additions will increase the potential for leisure and VFR demand.
“As we head toward the holidays, we’re seeing signs of strong demand in certain markets,” said Scott Laurence, head of revenue and planning for JetBlue. “To help get more customers to their destinations and capture more revenue during this important time of year, we are adding additional flights over Thanksgiving weekend.”
This announcement comes shortly after the carrier revealed the introduction of over 60 new routes throughout this year, including new non-stop destinations.
JetBlue anticipates that the additional locations will increase the demand for leisure travel.
