Menzies awarded Loganair contract

The ground handling and cleaning services will operate at Glasgow and Edinburgh airports

Menzies has won a ground handling and cleaning contract with Loganair – Scotland’s national carrier – at both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.

As of yesterday, the three-year contract between the aviation company and the airline began.

The global logistics specialists will operate handling and cleaning services for 14,000 Loganair flights per year. Around 6,500 and 7,500 turns are anticipated across Edinburgh and Glasgow annually.

“As Scotland’s national ground handling company, we’re delighted to be deepening our relationship with Scotland’s national carrier,” said Phil Lloyd, Menzies Aviation VP in North UK and Ireland. “This award is testament to the successful partnership we have built with the airline, through the quality service delivered by Menzies employees on the ground.

“Loganair has maintained strong operations throughout the pandemic as well as growing its route network this year, and we are looking forward to the growth opportunities this partnership may bring.”

De-icing services are already provided to the airline by Menzies at both of the Scottish-based airports. They also provide de-icing, cleaning and ground handling services at Manchester and the Isle of Man.
